BLOG POST BYMrs Bethan Chewter – Allotment Club Co-ordinator

The Senior School Allotment has been growing for the last two years and in that time, has doubled in size not only physically but also with the number of students that are now involved.

It has been amazing to see it grow and develop. This year looks to be another bumper crop. With the fruit bushes, having had time to mature, we all cannot wait to enjoy the fruits of all our hard work. Salad crops and amazing cauliflowers have already been shared with students and staff.

This year we have also had the chance to grow seedlings to help our junior school gardens. We have had ups and downs as we get use to the greenhouse and the temperatures that it can have even on an overcast day.

The arrival of the chickens has also been a great addition, with many of the student body coming out a lunchtime to sit on the bench and watch the chickens!

We cannot wait to see what will come next and where our gardening journey will take us.
